Description:

  • Assemble and test printed circuit boards, cables, fixtures, connectors and other electronics-related products.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and lab supplies.
  • Take on the "mission" of a job, follow work orders while making intelligent decisions on the fly, and provide feedback to the Director of Manufacturing and Quality.
  • Take ownership of building and inspecting quality into each step of production.
  • Program and operate "pick-and-place" equipment.
  • Create jigs to increase quality, consistency and efficiency of various mechanical efforts, such as lead-bending, hole-drilling and alignments.
  • Perform occasional mechanical assembly of full product (top level assembly).
  • Keep the lab and assembly spaces organized, clean and safe.

Requirements:

  • 2-year associates degree (or military training) in electronics tech. No experience necessary.
  • Learn soldering, desoldering and electronics rework.
  • Learn to operate computer-controlled equipment.
  • Willing to earn IPC J-STD-001, IPC-7711 or equivalent certifications.
  • Possess excellent instincts for diagnostics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication in English (either native or fluent ESL).
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds (rare), identify colored wiring, stand, bend, walk, carry boxes.
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA, no relocation assistance available.
  • Working knowledge of computers in business (e-mail, text/spreadsheet editing).
  • Organization skills, taking pride and ownership in the workspace to keep it tidy and safe.
